- TestHive is a marketplace that matches indie Android developers with 12 real human testers to satisfy Google Play Closed Testing requirements (12 testers · 14 consecutive days). Two economies: free with Karma (170 Karma at signup = one full campaign) or paid with T-Coin ($10 → 1000 T-Coin).
- How does Google Play Closed Testing work? ▾
- Google requires 12 unique testers running your app for 14 consecutive days before you can publish to production. TestHive provides verified real testers (not bots) who run your app daily and submit feedback. We track daily install + active-use streaks and produce a verifiable test report.
- Is TestHive free? ▾
- Yes — start free with the Karma economy. Sign up gets 170 Karma which covers one full Campaign (168 pool + 2 platform fee). For faster recruitment use T-Coin ($10 → 1000 T-Coin), still 0 platform fee on recharge.
- How long does a Campaign take? ▾
- 14 days minimum (Google requirement). Recruitment typically completes within 24-48 hours for paid Campaigns, longer for Karma. After 12 testers complete 14 days each (12 × 14 = 168 tester-days), the Campaign auto-settles and you get a downloadable test report.
- Are TestHive testers real? ▾
- Yes — every tester is a verified human with a real Google account. Anti-fraud measures (R-40 monitoring, device fingerprinting, behavioral analysis) detect and ban bots / multi-account abuse.
- What if I have a bug? ▾
- Testers submit bug reports daily through the app with screenshots and reproduction steps. As the developer you triage, assign Karma bonuses for high-quality reports, and reply to clarify. See /docs/closed-testing-guide for the full feedback workflow.
