What a Studio is
A Studio is a permanent team of testers organized under one Owner. Instead of each member individually browsing Campaigns, the Studio takes them as a unit. Rewards settle to a Studio Wallet that the Owner distributes by configurable share percentages.
Studios were added because some testing groups already operate as teams (university clubs, indie dev collectives, professional QA squads) and want a single account to coordinate.
Free / Expanded / Pro tiers
| Tier | Capacity | Cost | Use case |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 12 members | $0 | Default for new Studios |
| Expanded 25 | 25 members | 5,999 T-Coin one-time (~$60) | Growing Studios that want headroom |
| Pro Unlimited | unlimited | Contact us (custom) | Professional QA agencies, large studios |
Tier upgrades are one-time payments, not subscriptions.
Who can be a member
Members must be:
- Active TestHive users with verified accounts
- Pass anti-multi-account check at invitation time (no sock-puppets sharing your device fingerprint)
- Not currently in another active Studio (one-at-a-time rule)
A member's individual Tester level still counts toward their personal Completed Apps count when they participate in Studio Campaigns.
How rewards flow inside a Studio
When your Studio settles a Campaign:
- T-Coin / Karma lands in the Studio Wallet (Owner-controlled)
- Owner reviews each member's daily attendance
- Owner sets or accepts default share% per member
- Distribute → individual member wallets
The Owner is not allowed to take more than 10% automatically — anything beyond that requires unanimous member consent recorded in the audit log.
Studio failure tracking
If a Studio fails to deliver 3+ Closed Testing Campaigns in a rolling window, it enters a 30-day cooldown where it can't take new Campaigns. This prevents low-quality Studios from clogging the marketplace.
Cooldown auto-clears at day 30. Multiple consecutive cooldowns may trigger Studio disbandment.
